Small Ruminant Production

The Master Small Ruminant Producer Program is designed for sheep and goat producers seeking a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on learning experiences. This comprehensive program helps producers build the knowledge and practical skills needed to implement effective management practices that promote both profitability and sustainability in small ruminant operations.

Educational sessions are delivered by your local UT/TSU Extension Agent and provide real-world insights and applications for producers at any experience level.

Who Should Attend:
All sheep and goat producers are welcome to participateβ€”no prior enrollment in the original Master Meat Goat Producer program is required.

TAEP Eligibility:
This course can help meet the educational requirements for the Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP). A current University of Tennessee Master Producer Certificate is required to qualify for up to 50% cost-share assistance on eligible investments.
